Actors Who Died During Production

Oliver Reed (age 61)

Oliver Reed's death of a heart attack on May 2 1999 was a blow to Gladiator but most of his scenes were already shot.Some scenes were re-edited,and a body double was also used to complete shooting



Philip Seymour Hoffman (age 46)

Seymour Hoffman died in his apartment bathroom after taking cocaine amphetamines,heroine and sedatives. He was just one week away from the end of filming for the  The hunger games Mockingjay-Part 2



Heath Ledger (age 28)

Ledger died on 22 January 2008 from an accidental intoxication from prescription drugs.A few months before his death. Ledger had finished finished filming his performance as the Joker in the Dark Knight.



Cory Monteith (age 31)

In 2003, during hiatus between Glee's fourth and fifth seasons, the star was found dead in his hotel room of an overdose of heroin and alcohol


John Candy

The comedian and actor died of a massive heart attack in his sleep at age 43, just hours after he filmed his final scene in the comedy Wagons East

Chris Farley  (age 33)

The Saturday Night Live comedian died from an accidental overdose of cocaine and heroin in 1997, while providing the voice of Shrek


Andy Whitfield 

Died at age 39 of non-Hodgkin lymphoma while filming the Tv-Series Spartacus


Paul Walker (age 40)

The  Fast and Furious 7 star tragically died in a high-speed car crash in 2013. He and his friend Roger Rodas were killed almost instantly when Rodas lost control of the Porsche he was driving and slammed into a tree, Fast and Furious 7 was still being filmed,but after Walker's death, Universal Pictures put the movie on hold.


Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee)

The 28 years old actor died after he was accidentally shot in the abdomen while filming The Crow in 1993
